November Means Craft Fairs For Me

   I love seeing November come because that's when I go to the local craft fairs & sell my crafts that I have worked so long and hard on through the prior year. I usually share this passion with my oldest Sister who also loves to craft & she makes beautiful items. Our interest in crafts are different , though she does sew and does a great job at it too. Seamstress work has been my field for 33 years now, it's what I enjoy doing for extra income as well as hand paint. And for the craft fairs I begin very early in the year hand painting my items which takes a lot of time to finish.
  We just finished up one of our craft fairs and I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't a bigger crowd that showed up , which I think was due to poor advertisement and lack of parking. A lesson I learned is not to do a 1st time craft fair and to wait to see how they did then possible enter my items in the next years set up.
But, on a better note I did enjoy the day spent with my sister who I think the world of and meeting other crafters who all have such different fields of crafting ideas.
  I thought I would share with my readers some of our craft fair item photo's.  I love hand painting onto any item, in different themes, and my old hand painted windows were a big sale. I could of taken more & better photo's but got caught up in the fun of it all and never snapped as many shots as I should have.

Our Beautful Mountains are showing Fall's color's here in eastern Tennessee

              Fall is my favorite time of year and we are so blessed to live in the eastern part of Tennessee where we get to enjoy cooler weather in the Fall and watch the blanket of colors that surround us. Last weekend hubby & I took a ride up to the mountains that we use to live on called Camp Creek Bald Summit - Tennessee Mountain Peak. And we actually lived on and owned land there that was part of the Appalachian Trail which was beautiful  full of deers, black bears, linx (which I saw on my back porch once and was shocked and how big they were) and black panthers which I heard at times when they call out with that eerie call they make into the night time hours.
We grew apple trees there to enjoy, had beautiful flowers that thrived so well and enjoyed hummingbird's feeding upon them. And after our daughter married and moved out we decided to sell and move to the rural part of town. Where now we can sit upon my front porch and see the long spand skyline mountain peak beauty that use to live right in the heart of, which is just 15 miles from here.
  Up on the mountain there are two choices once you get half way up there where we lived  in which you can go on up too the Bald Mountain Peak or go across another mountain (called Green Mountain) then work your way back down to the base of those mountains back close to town. 
  It's such a beautiful sight to see while up there at mid point before you go across Green Mountain. There is a place that was donated for public enjoyment use by the "Dillards " Part of the Cherokke National Forest which has 3 ponds that each year they have free kids fishing day at. And we stopped by there first for a picnic by the ponds.

. Then we rode on across Green Mountain where we saw in full bloom wild flowers, sour wood trees and wild maple trees already starting to turn colors of golden yellow, burnt umber, and scarlet reds. And the view down upon our community is just an awesome sight to take in, with farm sites, grassy meadows, and our little historic town, all in one mix of visual beauty.
  It's beauty to enjoy whether your up  on the mountain looking out or down here on my front porch looking up into it.  And as the trees turn more and more in autumns colors it will look just like a big rolling country patch quilt of many colors.
  I can't wait to go back up to the top of Bald Mountain in October with our grandson on a day out with picnic planned which he has never seen before.

  I was sent two great Charlie's Soap products to review

I was anxious to see if they both really done what I had heard they would do , to really clean the deepest of dirt so I began with the Laundry Powder and washed a full load of my kitchen rugs that were very dusty, stained and stinky due to heavy foot traffic. And was amazed at the great results. I found the suds to be just enough, low yet effect and the scent to be very pleasant and the cleaning results were vivid clean sharp rugs. I also like the cleaning tip that they provide you with which I did as well which was too  run a large/heavy empty load with two packets of Charlie's Soap and a few old rags to clean my washer of any residue left by other detergents , which every washer will have due to liquid fabric softener use, and it worked so good to cut the grime and left a clean wash basin afterwards.

My next use was the Kitchen and Bath Natural Cleaner which I used to clean those appliances that get grim build up like my kitchen stove top range cover (very greasy surface) my microwave top, and my refrigerator top, all came out looking great with my hard elbow scrubbing grease needed. The solution went on easy with just a spray touch and wiped off easily leaving shiny clean results.
I can't wait to use this solution on other items outside that you would not think would be something that you could clean like my grill grates , yes that's right, grill grates! Because as the bottle states Charlie's Soap will clean everything from false teeth to diesel engines.
 It's really that tough!

Product Review Oneida Cupcake Carrier-2 Dozen Item #: 62518

      Here again for my readers  to very happily sing the praises of  yet another great Oneida product in  the Cupcake Carrier-2 Dozen Item #: 62518

     I just love this product. It is so useful and gives you such ease of both baking needs and carry all to any event you desire and it is so pretty to carry along. Many times I have made cupcakes that I worked so hard on to look pretty only to see them crushed after placing them in a container that either squishes the top icing or gets turned over and when you take them out they end up looking terrible.
    Yes, you can bake your cupcakes and get them all decorated beautifully then put them into a snap covered container and carry them to your destination, but wouldn't you much rather bake them, and be able to then take them in the same container as not to have to wash extra containers? Well, that's exactly what you get in this wonderful Oneida Cup cake carrier that can bake and take 2 dozen decorated cupcakes, that easily houses 2 dozen cupcakes and they will not move about while inside, will not get there iced tops crushed and visible through the container with handy carry all side handles that easily snap into place. You can easily store the container in the bottom shelf of your refrigerator until you get ready to go to your destination.
   This handy dandy Oneida product is a 3 section item. The top cover is clear see through (which I love) the next section is the plastic cup cake holder that holds 12 cupcakes after decorated (it has legs so it stands) just perfect when you reach your destination and want to display your beautiful cupcakes) then the 3rd section is your baking pan which will bake 12 cupcakes. The handles of the baking pan are curved out which are easy to grasp and has oven safe rubber tabs in those handles which helps with not burning your hands while holding them while hot. Because even using a pot holder many times that heat will go through the pot holder and you still feel the heat but those rubber tabs on the baking pans handles help eliminate that problem.
  I used paper baking cups which I feel are easier for baking, clean up and a prettier presentation.

  I used a white cake mix batter that I mixed into 3 separate colors into zip lock bags separating the batter and putting in a bit of the Wilton color icings into each one. I feel it works best instead of food coloring and then you just add a small layer of each color into your paper baking cup and when baked you get a very colorful layered effect inside your cupcake.
After they have cooled well,  I then made my own homemade vanilla icing by mixing soft butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. And I put a bit of the icing onto each cupcake and then rolled the edges of the cupcakes into decorating sprinkles. And then used my Wilton icing bag and used two colors of Wilton colors by streaking the inside lower part of the bag using a Wilton paintbrush which had red then orange gel color that you add up the bottom sides of the bag, then you fill the bag with your vanilla icing and as you squeeze the icing out you will see the two tone color effect results you will get using any decorating icing tip you desire, here I used the leaf tip which I think gives beautiful results from the many ways you can turn your wrist at different clock times, giving distance or closeness as you put in put onto your cupcake top.

 After your all finished with your beautiful cupcakes simply place them inside your plastic tray (if you make 24 cupcakes place the other 12 count inside your baking pan section) put on your snap top clear see through cover and your all set to go to your destination.
  I only made 12 cupcakes, so my bottom section (the baking pan was left empty). You can see by my photo's provided that my 12 cupcakes still look pretty and undisturbed from being crushed in any way, ready to go!
