 Welcome here today everyone. I hope your having a great week so far. I wanted to share my  thoughts on my newest purex insider Product Review For a neat product called fels-naptha

   And I was really curious to see if it worked well just as the purex description above states on there web site found  here .

  I'm old school and with my 50+ age I do remember my grand maw using a bar soap long ago when she actually had & used a #washing #machine like this one pictured here.

 

               I can't ever forget the one she had lol  because I bent over to close to it once while she was wringing out her laundry on it & I got my long hair in it & it reeled my head in and hurt! But luckily grand maw hurried & unplugged the unit and saved the day, the laundry & most of all my hair! :)

              She use to use a laundry bar soap to scrub on to the laundries stains which she kept in a tiny metal bucket along with a hand scrub brush in it as well. And then she would scrub the soap onto the laundry item wash them and wring out the water through the top part of the machine & we girls then got to help hang the clothes out on the line outside to dry. I remember those times clearly because on really hot days we played hide-n-seek behind the sheets drying on the line.

               I'm not sure what brand name of laundry bar soap it was that she used but it recall it was yellow in tint so it may very well of been the  #purex #fels-naptha  product that she used because they have been available for purchasing for 100 years, wow!

                                                  And Hey!! If you want a cute laundry room craft to add to your wall or laundry room shelf, then save that wrapper! ( I ripped mine a bit getting it off the product but was able to use it for my craft idea) so read on to find out more :) 

               When I read the two ways that the easy to read & clear directions direct you to  use the #Fels-Naptha (on the back of the wrapped paper ) by wetting the bar, then rub it on the laundry item, I thought hmmm...won't the bar just crumbled in my hand or break off in chunks as I apply pressure to a wet bar?

    But surprisingly it is very solid. And I didn't wet the complete bar. I chose to wet just one of the corners and then hold the remainder of the product in my hand while I scrubbed it onto my #stains.

   And I could see it going on, much like a milky paste.

 I didn't even let it sit after I scrubbed it onto my stained T-Shirt and just dropped it into the wash & let it begin its cycle.

The T-shirt came out clean & completely stain free. The  #purex #fels-naptha #laundry #bar #soap smelled good too. I can't really put my finger on what scent it is similar too but a faint & pleasant scent indeed that I liked.

    I definitely liked the product & I will enjoy using it in two ways as it directs you to do so on the package info listed on the backside. Which is to wet the bar & rub on a stain OR to grate the bar off in tiny pieces using 1/16 of it to a load of laundry. I wondered how I would store when it's on hold for me until my next need for it's use. I keep a dry wash cloth on my laundry shelf for any of our laundry detergents in case they drip down the bottle as not to water stain my shelf's underlying surface. So I had it placed on that dry wash cloth. Which would be a fine way to store it & still have it within sight,easy reach and let it air dry each time after you had wet it to use.
                 But..then I thought of a better way to store it.............read on further

 I like to get creative on anything lol & I am in the midst of redecorating my laundry room and plan on hand painting a complete mural onto the walls above my washer & dryer unit and to the side wall above the shelf hubby added there for me to fold laundry. I plan on hand painting a vintage nostalgia  laundry theme with  painted clip art of the products & items from our yesteryear days gone by such as that old vintage wringer type washer, laundry drying on the outdoor clothes line while swaying in the breeze, a wash board etc etc. As well as the products that we have all come to know & recognize for years that great companies still work hard to offer us. If it has a nostalgic look to it, then it will be added to my hand painted laundry wall :) to keep within the vintage theme.
            These walls won't look blank, white & stark like this later, trust me lol once I get my craft #brushes & #craft #paint #colors in hand and create my theme in mind.

                For they will look totally different once I have my finished hand painted design on them. And I even plan on covering that ugly amp box door as well & you won't know it is an amp box later.

              I already have a few great laundry theme items that I have collected over the years at a place called  +Collections Etc.  at collectionsetc.com of which I am a faithful customer lol
    Like items as these they offer in laundry theme

  But I also love to make my own craft items that are in keeping with a laundry theme that you easy make yourself.
 So, one way that I knew I could add shelf sitters that fit within my vintage theme to hold my laundry notions was to do some decoupage.  I wanted to keep the memory of my grandma alive and the fun times we had while helping her do laundry chores. So I bought me this cute bucket from the dollar tree  and I "saved" my paper wrapper that held the #purex #fels-naptha  #Fels-Naptha laundry bar soap within it. And carefully cut out the largest part of the advertisement for the product. And then used decoupage glue to adhere it to the buckets front side. And then placed my Fels-Naptha laundry bar soap proudly made by the makers of  Purex, inside the bucket.

 And later I plan on finding a tiny wooden handled scrub brush & tie a piece of twine string to it & punch a hole in the bucket's side top to let it dangle from which will also add that vintage laundry charm to & be useful for scrubbing any stains.   So, not only does the look fit right in to my vintage nostalgic laundry theme, but it is completely handy & useful for each time I need to use the product. For I can add a bit of water to the buckets inside and let my Fels-Naptha laundry bar of soap get wet only on it's edge or corner, use the item, then pour out the water & let the bar remain inside & air dry again.

 

   I also thought of this idea for storing the #purex #fels-naptha laundry bar soap in it's #grated choice of using the product as a load of washed laundry verses the rub on for stains version.
     And it also serves as easy reach to use & fits my nostalgic vintage laundry themed room.
            I took a pretty glass  mason jar with it's  cap lid & added some already grated pieces of the
#purex #fels-naptha laundry bar soap to it's inside.
Can Purex Fels-Naptha be used as a laundry booster?

Yes, for a stain boost to a wash load, finely grate 1/2 of the bar (use less for smaller or less soiled loads) into the washer, fill washer with water, and agitate for several minutes before adding clothing.

 

   I used an pumpkin knife cutter that had edges to grate my shivers. And a good *Tip is to grate it on a wash cloth so u can just shake it inside the jar & then just toss the wash cloth inside with your load of laundry your washing.  

                   I then used the same decoupage glue that I adhered the paper also to the glass jars front side. With the wrapper that the product came with for the  #purex #fels-naptha , I was able to cut out 3 of the products clip art graphic designs and two of them were perfect for the bucket & the glass jars front side.
Because decoupage glue (also called modge podge & I used +Plaid Enterprises  brand goes on both sides of the paper & dries clear. Just perfect for lots of craft ideas! Then I wrapped around & tied some twine string to its lid just for a more country old vintage nostalgia look.
 

  I tell you folks, I really must brag now on one particular +factor of this product  Fels-Naptha laundry bar soap. And that is the fact of just how thick & solid this product really is. I certainly will get long time use out of the product & not have to worry about it being all used up in just a few times of  reaching for it. It wets just enough to create a filmy paste as you rub it onto your laundry item. And the product bar will dry quickly there after. And did indeed, remove the crusty soaked in stain from the T-shirt. And as I ponder more on what the scent of the Fels-Naptha laundry bar soap  may smell like, I feel it is a very faint lemon or citrus type scent. I like it, I know that it sure reminds me of my long ago memories of when my grandma did laundry & the soap bar she used. And most of all, it worked great.
